Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Draftsman to join our design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans for interior spaces. This role requires a keen eye for design, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, designers, and project managers. Responsibilities: - Produce detailed interior drawings and plans using AutoCAD or other relevant software. - Collaborate with architects and designers to develop plans that fit client requirements. - Analyze building structures and design components to ensure compliance with design specifications. - Create 3D models and visualizations to aid in the presentation of design concepts. - Revise drawings based on feedback and ensure all modifications are included. - Coordinate with contractors and construction managers to clarify design details and resolve any issues. - Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations. - Maintain project files and documentation for future reference and audits. Requirements: - A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as an Interior Draftsman or similar role. - Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar architectural software. - Strong understanding of architectural and interior design principles. - Excellent attention to detail and precision in technical drawing. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documentation. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work within tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Qualifications: - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field. - Professional certification in drafting is highly desirable. - Portfolio showcasing previous interior drafting work. - Familiarity with building codes and regulations. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Work Environment: - The role requires working in person at the office and visiting project sites as needed. - Willingness to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines when necessary.
