We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer who can guide system architecture, uphold engineering standards, and ensure the consistent performance of mission-critical backend services. Responsibilities • Lead the design and development of structured RESTful and GraphQL APIs. • Write reliable, maintainable backend code using Node.js and TypeScript. • Shape and refine database structures, queries, indexes, and migrations across MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. • Implement secure authentication, authorization, and role-based access control. • Coordinate closely with frontend, mobile, and DevOps teams to maintain smooth delivery across the stack. • Manage deployments, CI/CD workflows, environment configurations, and containerised setups. • Address performance bottlenecks, memory issues, and unexpected behaviour with disciplined troubleshooting. • Participate in technical planning, code reviews, and architecture discussions. • Provide guidance to junior developers and help maintain a steady, organised engineering process. Requirements • Strong command of Node.js with TypeScript in production environments. • Practical experience with Express.js or NestJS. • Solid knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Prisma ORM, or Mongoose. • Clear understanding of API design principles for both REST and GraphQL. • Familiarity with AWS, Firebase, GCP, or similar cloud ecosystems. • Ability to work with Git and structured branching strategies. • Strong analytical and problem-solving habits with attention to detail. • Minimum 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience in production systems. Bonus Skills • Experience building microservices or modular service-oriented architectures. • Understanding of real-time communication tools such as Socket.io. • Exposure to Redis for caching and high-speed data operations. • Early familiarity with AI-driven workflows or data processing pipelines.
